New from Sigur Ros - Fjögur píanó. This is the third short in the experimental film series called “Valtari Mystery Film Experiment”. The group has enlisted 12 filmmakers to create visual accompaniment to the eight songs off the new album ‘Valtari’ released May 29th. The instructions from the group to the filmmakers: ”create whatever comes into their head when they listen to songs”. Fjögur Píanó was directed by Alma Har’el. I’ve watched this powerful piece a few times now. For me, this is a story of internal struggle, of not seeing the beauty inside oneself, the frustration and devastating self-destruction. Its a possible layer. Could be. Could be a whole lot of other things. One thing that it truly is: beautiful.
